Nah... that's not even a theory, a silly thesis at most - Here's the Agroforestry Theory of the Future: - Humanity will have to learn to live with its terrestrial resources. And manage them wisely - Dark Forest Aliens? Ridiculous. What humankind will see in just a few years from now is something far worse to the human ego: -Nearly all the big technological promises will fail - 〽️ no FTL, or even nigh there 〽️ no-one will leave their respective star systems 〽️ progress and resources will stagnate at best, or collapse at the biospherical capacity limit at worst 〽️ Great Filter's the word, Olduwai Gorge theory awaits 〽️ never will be fusion energy on Earth 〽️ no worm-holing and quantum tunneling away 〽️ no teleportation or even trekky beaming-tech 〽️ no AGI 〽️ no hyper-longevity for humans* 〽️ no uploading of consciousness to the virtual cloud 〽️ no quantum computers 〽️ no time travel 〽️ no terraforming 〽️ no interplanetary economy, probably not even to the moon 〽️ no parallel universes 〽️ no generation spaceships, no interstellar returning robot ships 〽️ not even affordable, practicable humanoid robotics ✔️ the universe is corpuscular * (if not CRISPR-meddling turns us into subterranean moles, first) Nature - the stone that the builders refused - will reign by iron force of physical laws, which short-sighted human hubris was certain they would overcome and conquer. Key to humanitys' survival will be especially the irreplacable, unaltered biological reserves, biodiversity, i.e. living, healthy flora and fauna et c., which they haven't eradicated up to that point. P.S.: Our own regular signals ⚡️ currently are not discernible from cosmic ambient radiation noise further out than a few LY at most. That sphere is even shrinking due to more directed signals being used in modern transmitting tech. Fermi-Paradox? No enigma.
