We've renamed our Youtube channel to Breadfruit GeoEngineering Ghana ( https://www.youtube.com/@Breadfruit-GeoEngineer, Link ), because that best describes what we're up to.
In fact, the kind of stuff that the deciders in the world'd be up to, if they had not lost any groundedness in down-to-earth reality.
Alas, the world is currently more than ever caught in the maelstrom of greed and false high-tech hopes and hype - a gigantic bubble that will soon burst.
A few more years at max, and most will have woken up from their "living in the future" dreams to a much more dire reality of stagnation and eventually even decline in e.g. robotics, AI, and general human tech-hubris. There will be a crisis of resources and especially scientifical and technical resourcefulness, since what is peddled and hyped as our bight future right now, is based on nothing than speculative science-fiction fluff.
I'm not a neo-luddite, only a realist with a lot of insight, and I've basically already laid out the plethora of insurmountable reasons in text and picture posts on our other YT-channel, Tech-Hype Kryptonite ( https://www.youtube.com/@StraightJacketAI, Link ), and soon, if I have time, extensively on Substack and other media outlets.
Maybe the Olduwai Gorge theory, mixed with plenty of well-grounded techno-scepticism* describes it best - then, caught in the reality of the Gorge, at the biological capacity limit, many may sit and weep:
"Hmm, should have planted some humble Breadfruit".
* tech- and science-skepticism is an understatement, since these technological and scientifical and physical barriers pointed out in our arguments presented in the posts of our Tech Kryptonite channel are nothing less than the all-too-real laws of nature -
- they are, for example, the reason why the Fermi-Paradox is in place (no civilisation, galactically and universally, have ever physically left their solar systems, and our own regular signals are indetectable beyond a few lightyears at maximum - and that will remain so, if not less. Soonishly, in about a few years, people will clearly see that humanoid robots (androids) will never help them in any practical way, they will always remain clumsy toys; AIs will never pass the Turing test with an intelligent interlocutor for long (that's why they are never involved in legal matters), AIs will not supercede current LLMs fundamentally; Gene-Editing like CRISPR cannot create fundamentally different organisms without the price of accumulatively introducing human (i.e. erroneous) arbitrariness into them - if applied to humans, sooner or later they'll end up looking either something like the grey aliens (they will have tiny mouths to scream with), or hulking titans and nephilim, that'll devour everything else and then, themselves - they'll own nothing and they'll be very unhappy. They won't even get functioning quantum computers, nor will fusion energy surplus ever be a thing. Physicists can't even understand the fundamental corpuscle, which is light (photons / charge), which is not a wishy-washy probability wave-duality (Hi, Miles Mathis!). Neuroscientists don't know how the brain and its extensions, modules and tributaries work on the most basic level (it's an intrinsic antenna, not a memory bank).
Mix in a bit of Jared Diamond's "Guns, Germs, and Steel", about how geography and the general setting
(which is Earth, in case of humanity) dictates the outcome of any civilisation. For the vibes, top it off with a hefty dose of "The Windup Girl" (a biopunk scifi novel by Paolo Bacigalupi)...
Mark my words, you have been warned.
